One of our latest trips at St.Particks was when we went to the lifeskills centre (this was before morfa bay). This was where, not just me, everyone learnt something about health and safety. Some people enjoyed; like myself. Some people found it frightening. I would advise everyone to go there we had so much fun.
Some things I learnt there was :First Aid (DRAB),
never go into dark alleyway, stay out of a building site and also what do in a an emergancy.

In St.Patricks we do lots of Activities, including Morfa Bay which you do in Yr6. Morfa Bay is a huge camp site for schools, clubs and also to do work experience. There are may different things to do including, archery, caving, sea activities, mud assault cource, abailing, zip wire and rock climbing. The possibilities there are once in a life time and I would recommend it to anyone looking for adventure! During free time there is a adverture play park, a game room with vending machines or hanging out in the cabins.

In year 6 we were lucky enough to have Mrs Deamer (Katie Deamer in yr6 mum)in to do some jazz dancing with us.It was great fun. Some boys did it but it was mostly girls. We learnt a whole dance, some of it was easy but was a bit tricky. All of this was included with P.E. Mrs Sewell split us in two groups so one group was doing Jazz and the other P.E and then we swappped. Thank You Mrs Deamer!!!!

In st. patricks we are every lucky to have such exiting activities, we have had Authors and story tellers come into school to read to us, we also have a world book day where we dress up as our favourite book character and the techers dress up as somthing altogether like last year they all dressed up in the alice and wonderland theme. it was amzing they acted out the book of alice , and for world book day we alsohave book cases in the school hall and we can buy the books after school. We also have had authors come into our school and read books to us, and talked to us about it.

I am the School Improvement officer for the school representing the Local Authority. Everytime I visit St Patrick's I feel uplifted and proud to be involved in Primary Education. The ethos of the school is visible in everyting that is going on. The pupils are bright, communicative and totally motivated to learn.
It is a joy to see the comments from children, parents and teachers in the reading logs and learning diaries. Children are able to talk about authors and use this knowledge when choosing a style to write in!
The hard work and dedication of the Headteacher, staff and governors cannot be faulted as it results in children well prepared as learners and citizens of the future.

Hello everyone.... what is there for me to say except thank you for the most uplifting comments. You have inspired me to keep going and do all I can for St. Patrick's School. Being a teacher is hard sometimes and being a Headteacher gets harder! It really is a vocation. I do feel called by God to share my gifts and talents at St. Patrick's. What makes the job worthwhile is reading some of the comments that individuals say.... like the comments on this site. It makes me realise I can make a difference. Thankyou children and past pupils for your thoughts. They are much appreciated. I do hope that some of you one day will consider being teachers. I wanted to be a teacher since I was about 5 years old. I was inspired by 2 teachers in my primary school who gave me a love for History and Religious Education. They also reminded me of the importance of never giving up and having a go with my learning even when I sometimes found learning difficult. This is my message for you...Try and Try again !!!

As a parent who has had five children at St Patrick's over the last thirteen years, I have seen the schools ups and downs, but over the last two years there have been many more ups from the childrens perspective more choices more experiences, I know that it has not been an easy time sometimes for Miss Evans and her staff but I think they are doing a fantastic job and the pupil comments say it all my only regret is three of my children missed out on all the changes. Well done and keep up the excellent work.
